Hospice San Miguel Volunteers
Volunteers are people just like you who are willing to give their time and talents to help Hospice families in many ways. They are individuals of all ages and walks of life and are vital members of the hospice team.
Volunteers learn about the Hospice program and their role in the Hospice team during a training and orientation class. We offer periodic training for volunteers and medical service providers. Course materials cost $120 MN per volunteer and a reservation is required. Contact Hospice San Miguel office. When training is completed, volunteers can choose from a variety of opportunities helping patients and families or in other supportive positions like:
Patient Support Volunteers
Companion visits with patients
Running errands for families
Compassionate Paws Program
Visiting patients in nursing homes or assisted living facilities
Service Support Volunteers
Clerical and office support
Community events
Fund raising events
Thrift Store
Bereavement Support Volunteers
Companion visits with family members
Bereavement Telephone Support Program
These are just a few of the many volunteer opportunities at Hospice. For more information, contact one of our Co-Volunteer Coordinators - Pat or Jean at info@hospicesma.org
